Falcons WR Julio Jones ruled out against Buccaneers

Julio Jones has been nursing a hamstring injury throughout the duration of the 2020 season. The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver has missed a number of games because of the injury, and now he's set to miss another.

Falcons interim head coach Raheem Morris announced Friday that Jones has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jason Butt of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Morris anticipates Jones having a chance to play in the team's final two games of the season.

Jones has appeared in nine games this season, catching the ball 51 times for 771 yards and three touchdowns. If Morris rules him out for the remainder of the year, it will be his first season since 2013 without 1,000 receiving yards, though he probably won't reach that mark even if he plays the team's final two games.
