Things are not going swimmingly for head coach Dan Quinn and the Atlanta Falcons. Coming off a disastrous seven-win 2019 campaign, the Falcons find themselves at 0-2 in 2020.

The latest meltdown came on the road against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Atlanta found itself up 29-10 at halftime after Dallas put up a mistake-filled first two quarters. Leading 39-24 with just over five minutes remaining, Atlanta somehow lost by the score of 40-39. That included a failure to recover an onside kick within the final minute of the fourth quarter.

Atlanta has been the butt of all the jokes around the NFL after blowing a 28-3 lead against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI back in February of 2017.

It now has fans in Atlanta fed up. Take this one guy as an example. He legitimately penned a resignation letter to the Falcons’ organization following Sunday’s loss. It’s about the best thing you will see all day.

Mr. Shackelford certainly wasn’t playing around, either. He went as far as to thank Falcons beat writers for their coverage of the team when he was actually a fan of Falcons football.

To be fair, the Falcons have been an unmitigated disaster this season. That includes Atlanta giving up nearly 500 yards of offense and 39.5 points per game through two weeks.

People have better things to do on Sunday than watch this version of football being played. During quarantine, that could include cat videos on social media.
