Fantasy Ballers: Three players who will exceed their Week 4 projections

Even big names can overachieve in fantasy football These three should have a little extra for their Week 4 matchups.

A.J. Brown (WR) Philadelphia Eagles

Brown fell short of fantasy projections in his first two games before catching nine of 14 targets for 131 yards against Tampa Bay. Quarterback Jalen Hurts was clearly looking to get him the ball after a sideline argument between the two in the team’s home opener.

The Eagles No. 1 receiver scored 11 touchdowns for Philadelphia last season but after three weeks Brown still doesn’t have a touchdown.in 2023. That’s likely to change this week with a home game against Washington.

The Commanders secondary has been solid so far, giving up 39.17 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers in Yahoo! leagues. Of course two of those teams were the Broncos and Cardinals.

Brown had a single touchdown in the first five weeks of the 2022 season. It came against the Commanders. If history repeats itself, he’ll have no problem beating his 16.82 projection.

Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos

Lost in the Broncos 50-point loss to the Dolphins was the fact that Wilson has thrown for over 300 yards in two straight games. He’s currently tied for fifth among NFL quarterbacks with six touchdowns.

This week he gets the Bears who just lost their defensive coordinator and are giving up the second-most points behind his own Broncos team. Chicago has also allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, making Wilson a safe bet to go over his projected 15.6 fantasy points.

Ezekiel Elliott (RB) New England Patriots

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson got more carries last week, but Elliott led the team in rushing against the Jets. Elliott had 16 carries for 80 yards, making it the second time that he had more yards on fewer carries than Stevenson this year.

The Patriots play the Cowboys in Dallas this week. Could Elliott have something extra for his old team? The 28-year-old running back is the third-leading rusher in Cowboys history. Even an unabashed curmudgeon like New England coach Bill Belichick will make sure Elliott gets the ball on this week.

Last week, the Arizona Cardinals rushed for 222 yards against the Dallas defense. The Patriots aren’t likely to hit that number, but Elliott should run past his projection of 6.12 fantasy points.
