Odell Beckham Jr. is now a member of the Baltimore Ravens. After several teams signaled interest in acquiring the free agent receiver, it was the Ravens who "won" the race to sign Odell.

But how?

Speaking at his introductory press conference live on national TV, Beckham Jr. detailed that it was Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and his personal touch that pushed the deal over the line.

"He had me fired up," Beckham said. "Him reaching out was really (what) I felt like set it over the edge.

"We chopped it up, two men talking. It wasn't so much the business side, everything that was going on. He made [me] feel wanted. Somebody wants me to be here, wants me to be great, wants me to be a part of this team. At this point in my life, that's the thing that I needed is to be wanted."

Odell was certainly wanted by the Ravens as they signed him to a one-year deal worth up to $18 million, but $15 million of it is guaranteed. It is hoped that the receiver has put his injury troubles behind him as he looks forward to his new surroundings in Baltimore.

But will he be catching passes from Lamar Jackson?

The Ravens have shown their ability to get deals done, but the Jackson saga shows no signs of coming to a resolution. The non-exclusive franchise tag remains unsigned (at the time of writing), but Beckham Jr. let his quarterback know that he can't wait to get to work.

"Lamar, if you're watching, I'd love to get to work with you, when you think about the Ravens, you definitely think about Lamar," Beckham Jr. said.

Ravens' fans are clearly excited about the prospect of Beckham Jr. and Jackson linking up next season, but right now, that is a dream more than a reality.

There is still time to sort out a contract for Lamar or for him to sign his tender, but until then, with each passing day that Jackson's future isn't resolved, the dark cloud hanging over the organization will continue to get bigger.

Maybe Bisciotti needs to make the call that also "fires up'' Jackson.
