Five-time Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner visits with Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger may be motivated by doubters and approaching the upcoming NFL season like it's his last, but he's going to need help from his offensive line if he's going to remain healthy and win anything of note with Pittsburgh through at least next January.

The Steelers seem to know this, and, thus, they welcomed five-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Trai Turner to town for a visit Friday:

Turner earned Pro Bowl nods each season from 2015 through 2019 with the Carolina Panthers and joined the Los Angeles Chargers via a trade in March 2020. However, the 28-year-old was limited to nine games last year because of a groin injury, and the Chargers released him in March.

Pro Football Focus named Turner the lowest-graded right guard (34.8) for the 2020 campaign.
