Five-time Pro Bowl WR Jarvis Landry addresses future with Browns

Jarvis Landry recently concluded his eighth NFL season. After being selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the former LSU star spent the first four years of his career in South Beach and has now been with the Cleveland Browns for four seasons as well.

In 2022, Landry will be entering the final year of his five-year, $75.5 million deal with Cleveland. According to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk, Landry "is a candidate" to be released before the start of the new league year in March, as he doesn't have any more guaranteed money on his contract.

Per Simmons, releasing the five-time Pro Bowl wideout would save the Browns $14.9 million against the cap and cost just $1.5 million in dead money for 2022. On Tuesday morning, Landry took to social media to address his future with the organization.

Despite missing five games in 2021, Landry still led Cleveland in targets (87) and receptions (52), while adding 570 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns and six carries for 40 yards and two scores.

In 64 career regular-season games with the Dolphins, Landry recorded 400 catches for 4,038 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns on 570 targets (70.2% catch percentage). In 59 regular-season games with the Browns, Landry has produced 288 receptions for 3,560 yards and 15 touchdowns on 475 targets (60.6% catch percentage).
