Former Auburn wide receiver Darius Slayton and the New York Giants took on the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Day, and Slayton had a big game.

Slayton caught all three of his targets in this game for 90 yards and a touchdown. The big play of the game was a 69-yard touchdown that came in the fourth quarter and kept the Giants in this ball game. On this play, Slayton was able to beat his defender on a deep pass that Tyrod Taylor laid perfectly over the shoulder. After reeling in the pass, Slayton was able to win the foot race to the endzone.

So far on the season, Slayton has caught 41 passes for 602 yards and two touchdowns for the Giants. This hasn't been one of Slayton's best seasons statistically, but the numbers he has put up are impressive for a player some thought might not be on the roster.

Part of the issue with Slayton's career has been poor quarterback play, more so than poor play on his part. Hopefully, after this season concludes, Slayton will be shipped to a new team with a quarterback who can actually get the football to the former Auburn deep threat.

Let's take a look at Slayton's long touchdown that kept the Giants in the game against the Eagles on Christmas.
