After waiving their defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day on Friday, the former Super Bowl champion has found a new home.

It was announced that the 28-year-old has inked a one-year deal with NFC contenders, the San Francisco 49ers.

Former NFL cornerback turned analyst was the first to report on it.

Joseph-Day and the Niners have agreed to a deal, and it should become official by Wednesday when their practice resumes.

SDJ spent the last two seasons with the Bolts after spending the first three seasons of his career with the LA Rams. In 2023, he played and started in 14 games, where he recorded 31 total tackles, three tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, and three sacks.

This move for the Niners comes as they have been plagued with injuries in the DT position. Day was available for any contender out there, and San Francisco wasted no time picking up the veteran.

Unfortunately, SDJ and the Chargers couldn't finish his contract, but nonetheless, we wish him the best in his next journey as he will compete for another Super Bowl.
