A former Indianapolis Colts player received a tremendous honor today.

As Antoine Bethea was named a member of the Black College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

The Colts drafted Bethea with the 207th pick in the 6th round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He went on to have a 14-year NFL career, eight of which he spent with the Colts from 2006 to 2013. He also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants. He was named a pro bowler three times in his career, twice with the Colts in 2007 and 2009.

Bethea played his college ball at Howard University, where he spent four seasons, three as a starter. He was a three-time All-MEAC selection, three-time Black College All-American, and two-time All-American.

He now joins his former teammate and Colts great Robert Mathis, who was a member of the class of 2020, in the Black College Hall of Fame.
