Former Cowboys CB confirms he was cut for breaking dress code

When it comes to dress code, the Dallas Cowboys don't mess around.

There are reports stating that the Cowboys cut running back Christine Michael and cornerback Corey White for not wearing suits on the team’s road trip to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers Nov. 15.

White confirmed the report, according to the Dallas Morning News:

Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Corey White told TMZ.com he was, in fact, cut for not wearing a suit in the team's road trip to Tampa Bay last weekend.
White told the website he wore "slacks and a button down," but that doesn't adhere to the team's dress code for road trips. A Cowboys coach told White he was cut because the cornerback wasn't wearing a suit, White reportedly told TMZ.com.
"I'm not angry," White reportedly said. " ... It's the rules."

The Cowboys’ choice to dismiss players for breaking dress code is surely raising eyebrows. The team still has Greg Hardy on its roster, even though the defensive end has very publicly been deemed a distraction on the field and is linked to domestic violence away from the gridiron — seemingly greater offenses than wearing "slacks and a button down” on a team roadie.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones met with Hardy to discuss what he “can do personally to avoid creating negative issues for himself,” Jean-Jacques Taylor of ESPN reported. There doesn’t appear to have been any discussion with White or Michael about improving their ability to follow the team’s dress code before they were cut, however.
