Former Dolphins Pro Bowler Reshad Jones arrested on gun charges

Reshad Jones had a pretty successful NFL career, but life after making it to football's biggest stage hasn't been treating him well.

The former Miami Dolphins Pro Bowler was arrested in Florida on Wednesday after cops said he was illegally carrying a loaded gun. A police report obtained by WPLG Local 10 says police officers made contact with Jones at 4 a.m. after witnesses said he was walking around gas stations with a firearm.

Officers noticed the safety's firearm sticking out of his pants when they began to question him. Jones complied with the officers at first, saying he did not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, but he eventually became combative, per the report.

The 32-year-old was arrested and booked, but has since been released.

Jones played 10 seasons for the Dolphins, earning two Pro Bowl selections after being selected by the club in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. In 128 games, he recorded 21 interceptions, 10.5 sacks, 599 solo tackles, 16 quarterback hits and forced three fumbles while recovering seven.
