The Falcons let Foye Oluokun walk in free agency a few years ago, and he’s done nothing but find success with the Jaguars.

Now, the former sixth-round pick has inked another deal with Jacksonville. According to Tom Pelissero, Oluokun and the Jags have agreed on a new four-year deal worth $45 million.

It’s his second contract with the Jags and will keep him in Duvall County through the 2028 season.

The former Falcons standout led the league in solo tackles the past two seasons. He gets a bit more security after signing a three-year, $45 million to join the Jags a couple of years ago.

He’s started 17 games in each of the past two seasons, recording 128 solo stops in 2022 and 111 last season. In his last year with the Falcons, the Yale product put up 192 tackles, a number that nobody has matched in the 21st century.

The Falcons have had a ton of success with off-ball linebackers. Atlanta drafted De’Vondre Campbell, Deion Jones, and Olukoun. Though Jones’ play fell off, he was among the best players at his position at one point, and Campbell has gone on to earn All-Pro honors with the Packers.

Foye Oluokun has gone on to probably have the best career of the three, given the consistency he’s had since becoming a full-time starter. The Falcons are hopeful that Troy Andersen can eventually become the long-term starter next to Kaden Elliss, but a season-ending injury paved the way for Nate Landman to establish himself as a viable option for the Falcons.

Congratulations to Olukuon, though.
