The Memphis Tigers have produced a handful of notable specialists with NFL talent over the years. One of them will get a big pay day to continue his career with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Former Memphis placekicker Jake Elliott signed a four-year extension with Philadelphia this week worth $24 million with $14 million guaranteed, per Brooks Kubena of The Athletic.

At Memphis, Elliott was the American Athletic Conference's Special Teams Player of the Year in both 2014 and 2015. He is the program's leading scorer with 445 points. He was a perfect 202-for-202 on extra points with a 77.9 field goal percentage.

Elliott was a fifth-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017, but joined the Eagles later that fall, where he has remained since. He was part of the Eagles' Super Bowl championship following the 2017 season.

In 2023, Elliott was one of five kickers in the NFL to connect on a field goal from 60 yards or further. His 61-yarder, which he has hit once before, is the longest in Eagles' franchise history.
