After his partnership with Shannon Sharpe came to a highly-publicized end, Skip Bayless is now set to joust with another ex-NFL star.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reported on Monday that five-time All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman is joining FS1 to pair with Bayless on the popular TV show “Undisputed.” Sherman will reportedly debate with Bayless for around 50 to 100 shows per year, mostly during NFL season.

Marchand adds that Sherman is still going to continue as an analyst for “Thursday Night Football” on Amazon Prime. FS1 is also reportedly eyeing former wideout Keyshawn Johnson (which makes it sound like Sherman will not be a direct replacement for Sharpe but rather just one of the hosts who will sit opposite of Bayless.)

The 35-year-old Sherman, an 11-year NFL veteran who won a Super Bowl ring as part of Seattle’s legendary “Legion of Boom” in 2014, has not played since the 2021 season. There had been rumors for weeks that Sherman was a candidate to join “Undisputed,” and now those rumors have come to fruition (three weeks before the show is officially set to return on Aug. 28.)

A famously outspoken figure, Sherman should make for an excellent foil to Bayless. After all, the two have plenty of history dating back to Sherman’s unforgettable spat with Bayless on ESPN’s “First Take” over a decade ago.
