Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Former Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams knows a thing or two about the organization moving on from a player. Williams, who broke Barry Sanders’ franchise record for rushing touchdowns this year with the Detroit Lions, was let go by the Packers after his contract expired.

Since Green Bay drafted A.J. Dillon in 2020 and extended Aaron Jones, the team decided to allow Williams to leave via free agency. Now, with the future of Aaron Rodgers in question, Williams shared his thoughts on what team he thinks his former quarterback will play for in 2023.

The Rodgers question, of course, is one of the biggest stories of the NFL offseason. As such, former players and teammates are always asked what they think will happen. Williams’ appearance on “Good Morning Football” was no exception:

“I just feel that my boy is going to go to the Jets. You know, I think that Jordan Love finally gonna get his time to shine and show, you know, what he’s worth. Let A-Rod go to the Jets. Let him have fun and do his thing.”

Of course, Williams’ opinion, like any given this offseason, is not from a direct source. That is, not from Rodgers himself. The future Hall of Fame quarterback still has not even decided if he will play football at all in 2023.
