Veteran NFL quarterback and former Carolina Panther Teddy Bridgewater is officially retiring from the NFL and moving onto the next stage of his life - coaching.

Over the weekend, Bridgewater was named the next head coach of his alma mater, Miami Northwestern High School in Florida.

Bridgewater started 15 games for the Panthers in 2020 and threw for 3,733 yards and 15 touchdowns to 11 interceptions while completing 69.1% of his passes. In the offseason, Carolina decided to move in a different direction trading for Sam Darnold. The Panthers traded Bridgewater to the Denver Broncos where he would put up 3,052 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven picks in 14 starts. Denver also decided to move on after one season, making the trade for Russell Wilson.

Teddy B then spent one year each as the backup in Miami and Detroit before calling it quits. For his career, Bridgewater had an overall record of 33-32 and completed 1,372-of-2,067 pass attempts for 15,120 yards and 75 touchdowns to 47 interceptions.
