Former Pro Bowl RB LeSean McCoy says Bill Belichick is 'regular coach' who will get exposed this season

Former Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy said Wednesday on FS1's Speak that Bill Belichick will get "exposed" this season and is a "regular coach" without Tom Brady.

McCoy pointed to Belichick's 17-16 record over the last two seasons, along with the Patriots' blowout loss to the Bills in the playoffs last season. "He's not what the world thinks he is," McCoy said.

When co-host Emmanuel Acho asked McCoy if Belichick will get "exposed" this season, McCoy responded that Belichick will get exposed "this year, next year, and the years to come."

It's been a noisy summer for the Patriots, between rumors of offensive struggles and speculation about who will coordinate the offense after Josh McDaniels' departure.

The Boston Globe reported the offense was dealing with "miscommunications and frustration" early in training camp, and Belichick never named an offensive coordinator. It's believed both Matt Patricia and Joe Judge, with little offensive experience between them, will have a role in organizing the offensive gameplan this season.

The Patriots haven't won a playoff game since Brady's exit, but Belichick received his share of praise throughout New England's 2021 season. The Patriots finished 10-7, at one point sitting atop the AFC with rookie quarterback. While the season ended in forgettable fashion, Belichick did land one Coach of the Year vote.

Belichick will have an opportunity to quiet the doubters when the Patriots face the Dolphins on Sunday.
