Former QB suggests that Chiefs' Andy Reid is greatest HC ever

Even though many regard New England's Bill Belichick as the greatest head coach of all time, one former star believes you could make an argument for Kansas City's Andy Reid.

"[Reid] might be the greatest coach of all time," former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports analyst Michael Vick recently said on Tyreek Hill's "It Needed To Be Said" podcast. "You don't have to win championships to be considered. I understand Belichick and [former Patriots QB] Tom Brady had that dynamic. But Coach [Reid] did it in Philly, and then he doing it in KC."

Reid has an impressive résumé. In 24 years as an HC for the Chiefs and Eagles, he's recorded the fifth-most regular-season wins (247) in league history, the second-most postseason victories (22), earned 2002 Coach of The Year and has led Kansas City to two Super Bowl titles over the past four seasons.

Belichick still holds a slight edge, though. He has the third-most regular-season victories (298), the most playoff wins (31), six Super Bowls and three Coach of The Year awards in 28 seasons with Cleveland and New England.

A counterpoint for Reid, however, is Belichick's record without Brady. Outside of one playoff win with the Browns in 1994, he's struggled without the future Hall of Famer, posting a 79-87 record via Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News.

Conversely, Reid succeeded with multiple QBs, such as Donovan McNabb, Alex Smith and Vick. Also, he logged a 53-27 record in Kansas City before superstar QB Patrick Mahomes took over in 2018, per Rany Jazayerli of The Ringer.

If Reid, 65, coaches for a couple more seasons, he will likely win more Super Bowls with Mahomes and inch toward Belichick.
