The reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, have won the AFC West for the last seven seasons.

In each of those seven seasons, the Las Vegas Raiders have finished second in the division three times.

This year, however, one former Raider in particular believes things will be different.

On Tuesday's episode of the "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast, former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan gave their predictions as to which teams they believe will win their respective divisions this season.

Compton, who played two games for the Raiders in the 2021 season, chose the Silver and Black to claim the AFC West.

"I think the mainstream media is dialed in on the Chiefs losing this year," Compton said. "I don't think they'll win the division. I think the reign is over. Now, they might get into the playoffs, but they're not going to win the division. I think this is the year where the Chiefs Kingdom falls. And I believe in the Raiders. I believe in Jimmy G. The boys got Josh Jacobs back.

"And you got to think right now, they [the Chiefs] don't have Chris Jones in that building in Kansas City. And then without Chris Jones -- No. 1, they're not the greatest defense anyways -- but then without Chris Jones, they're abysmal on defense. They need to have Chris Jones. But if they go into the year with not having him, like, it's just going to make it that much -- it's going to be that much more of a hole. And yeah, they are thinner at receiver than in years past, and I do think this is the time where all the hot dogging out there by Patrick Mahomes, it catches up to him. More turnovers."

Compton signed with the Raiders in December of 2021. He was waived on Jan. 5, 2022 and re-signed two days later, but he was ultimately waived again less than a week later.

The Silver and Black open the regular season at the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 4:25 p.m. EDT/1:25 p.m. PDT.
