Richard “Dick” Romanski, the former equipment manager of the Raiders, has been named as one of the recipients of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s ‘Awards of Excellence.’ The 2024 list includes 15 professionals across five categories: Assistant Coaches, Athletic Trainers, Equipment Managers, Film/Video Directors, and Public Relations.

Romanski joined the Raiders in 1963 and worked for over five decades in the same position until his death in 2015. His son Bob took over the position and still holds it. The Hall of Fame will host an evening reception on June 26 and a luncheon on June 27 in Canton to honor the 15 Awards of Excellence recipients, with Hall of Famer Dan Fouts as the emcee.
