Former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick Deon Figures was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The former NFL cornerback spent his college career at the University of Colorado, where he won a National Championship and a Jim Thorpe Award.

Figures was the Steelers' first-round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft. After being selected 23rd overall, he went on to play 61 games, including 23 starts in four years with Pittsburgh. He then spent two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In his final season at Colorado, Figures recorded six interceptions and won the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation's top defensive back. He allowed just six completions that season while playing over 400 man coverage snaps.

He finished his college career with 176 tackles, five tackles for loss, 13 interceptions, 27 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one blocked kick.

Figures was part of the Colorado team that won the National Championship in 1990, adding to three-straight Big Eight championships. He was an All-Big Eight selection three times and won the Big Eight Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1992.

The 2024 class will officially be inducted at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner on December 10, 2024.
