The New England Patriots hired 37-year-old Jerod Mayo as their new head coach and Bill Belichick's replacement on Friday morning.

Their next order of business is hiring a general manager.

And according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, former Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson could be on their radar.

Robinson already has ties to New England dating back to 2002 when he kickstarted his career and served as an area scout for the Patriots.

In 2009, he was promoted to director of college scouting and held that position for five years before leaving for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their new director of player personnel in 2013.

Robinson spent three seasons with the Bucs and then landed the general manager position with the Titans in 2016.

Under Robinson, Tennessee put together a 66-43 record, including six consecutive winning seasons. He also made some solid draft picks, Derrick Henry, A.J. Brown and Jeffrey Simmon to name a few.

The Titans fired Robinson in 2022.

For the most part, Robinson has been out of the public eye since he was dismissed by Tennessee, but a return to New England would certainly change that.
