Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Darnell Wright received a huge compliment this past week after the Chicago Bears' tough loss to the Detroit Lions.

Wright, who was the No. 10 overall pick by the Bears in the 2023 NFL Draft, was praised by former Chicago-fullback-turned-sideline-reporter Jason McKie for his toughness last Sunday.

"Darnell Wright is an “Elite Competitor” he was nowhere near 100%. Limped around most of the game but would not come out," tweeted McKie.

Wright hasn't been perfect this season, but he's continuously showed the relentless effort and determination that made the Bears fall in love with him during the draft process.

McKie is right (no pun intended) -- the former Vol should be a cornerstone of the Bears' offensive line for many years to come.
