Four potential trade destinations for Browns RB Kareem Hunt

Here are potential destinations for Hunt, who has 263 yards rushing and 87 yards receiving serving mainly as Nick Chubb's backup.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs' running game is floundering. Leonard Fournette has 362 rushing yards on 103 attempts, 3.5 yards per carry. Third-round rookie Rachaad White has 71 rushing yards and one TD on 26 attempts. Ke’Shawn Vaughn, the only other running back on the active roster, has not played a snap.

Tom Brady needs help for his 3-4 Bucs.

Denver Broncos

There is no clear RB1 in Denver, and Hunt has the potential to fill that role.

Javonte Williams was one of the few bright spots in the underwhelming Broncos offense before he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 4. On Monday, the Broncos put RB Mike Boone on injured reserve.

Also Monday, Denver claimed Marlon Mack from 49ers' practice squad, adding him to the underwhelming tandem of Latavius Murray and Melvin Gordon.

Since joining the team in Week 6, Murray has 93 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. After getting just three carries in Week 6, Gordon had 11 for 33 yards against the Jets in Week 7. He has 234 rushing yards on 66 attempts this season.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams reportedly were in the running for Christian McCaffrey before he was dealt to the 49ers, so it is clear they are looking for help.

Darrell Henderson has been the Rams’ primary back, but there are questions as to who comes next.

Malcolm Brown saw his first action of the season against the Panthers in Week 6. The team is fielding offers for Cam Akers, who was held out of the Panthers game for personal reasons and is available via trade.

McVay said the team is open to keeping Akers, but a swap for Hunt with some additional compensation thrown in may be in the picture. The Rams are already thin on draft capital, but after James Robinson was traded to the Jets for a conditional sixth-round pick, they may not have to give up much.

Philadelphia Eagles 

Miles Sanders is eighth in the league in rushing yards with 485, but adding another weapon could go a long way as the undefeated Eagles look to go on a Super Bowl run.

It would not be the first time the Eagles have acquired a significant running back midseason, as they traded for Jay Ajayi in 2017 on their way to winning Super Bowl LII. Ajayi joined a committee of backs that included LeGarrette Blount and Corey Clement. 

Hunt would be a nice complement to Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.
