Frank Reich: Colts have a chance to 'take over' the AFC

The Indianapolis Colts are far removed from their 0-3 start to the season. The team is now back to .500 after winning four of its last five, and head coach Frank Reich thinks it's time to start thinking bigger.

"There's a lot of good teams in the AFC but no one's just taken over, so why can't it be us? Why can't the Indianapolis Colts take over right now? That's our mindset," Reich told reporters, via Colts.com. "Why can't we take over? So, if we're going to do it, we got to prove it this weekend in Buffalo against a very good football team."

The Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills will be pivotal for the Colts' postseason hopes, especially with the Tennessee Titans racing out to a 8-2 record and three-game lead in the AFC South. Indianapolis already lost twice to the Titans, so earning one of the AFC's three Wild Card berths may be the team's only shot at seeing the playoffs.

The resurgence of the Colts as a postseason contender has been largely due to the improvement of offseason acquisition Carson Wentz. The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback turned the ball over twice and threw just three touchdowns in the Colts' first three games of the year. Since then, he's had 14 touchdown passes, one rushing touchdown, and just four turnovers over a seven-game span.

It helps too that Indianapolis has running back Jonathan Taylor, who tied Derrick Henry as the league's leading rusher with 116 yards in Week 10 to bring his season total to 937.
