GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The first commit of Florida's 2024 class has signed his National Letter of Intent.
Four-star linebacker Myles Graham, the son of former UF running back Earnest Graham , put the pen to the paper on Tuesday afternoon, a day before early national signing day, in a ceremony at Buchholz High School.
He was the first signee officially recognized by UF on Wednesday morning.
"I've been a Florida Gator my whole life. I've been growing up in University of Florida gear, been repping the orange and blue ever since I came out of the womb," Graham told All Gators on Tuesday.
Graham, the No. 81 overall player and No. 7 linebacker in the 2024 class according to 247 Sports, originally pledged to Florida on Aug. 14, 2022 over Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Auburn.
He became the first, and since then, the longest commit of Florida's 2024 class.
"It's really a beautiful thing. It's doubly beautiful for it to happen here in Gainesville and at the University of Florida," said his father Earnest. "For him having been committed the way he was, stick it out and represent what it's like to be committed during the time that we're in. We're especially proud."
The 6-foot-1, 212-pound Graham heads to Florida as an immediate boost to the linebacker room and should see playing time immediately. He plans to play at the weak-side (WILL) linebacker spot for the Gators.
"The one thing I've told him is that he's got a chance to play early," said former UF defensive end Thaddeus Bullard, a.k.a former WWE star "Titus O'Neil," who is also Graham's uncle through marriage. "If you looked at the way the defensive side of the ball looked throughout the season, try to figure out where you can go and make an immediate impact."

Florida's first commitment from the class of 2024 was a familiar one as Graham is a legacy pledge. His father, Earnest Graham, played running back for Florida from 1998-2002 and ranks fifth in program history in career rushing yards. The younger Graham projects to play on the other side of the line of scrimmage at weak-side linebacker, however, after compiling 193 total tackles, five sacks, nine tackles for loss, an interception, 11 pass breakups and three forced fumbles from 2021-22 at Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Ga. After relocating to Gainesville for his senior campaign, Graham produced 82 tackles including nine for loss, three sacks, one interception, five pass breakups and one forced fumble. He also rushed for 600 yards and 17 touchdowns with Buchholz.
