The Los Angeles Chargers have lost multiple players this season, as many were free agents who were permitted to explore signing with new teams. One of those players was tight end Gerald Everett, who signed a deal with the Chicago Bears.

Everett joined a team that is likely to draft Caleb Williams with the #1 overall pick. The Bears traded Justin Fields to the Steelers, which makes Williams' acquisition even more probable.

While Everett offers Williams a solid TE choice, he will now have one of the best WRs to throw to as well. The Chargers surprisingly traded Keenan Allen to the Bears, which will reunite Allen and Everett.

Allen and Everett exchanged excitement on social media about reuniting on the same team.

Everett stated, "Been solid since we locked in, on to the next adventure with the bro." Allen simply replied, "You know the vibes, Brodie."

While landing Everett was already exciting enough, the Bears now have a one-two TE and WR punch that should immediately elevate the passing game for Williams.

The Bears also already have WR DJ Moore and TE Cole Kmet, which makes the offense quite powerful already.

The Chargers losing both Everett and Allen should cause significant damage in the passing game, but they can alleviate those concerns via the draft and free agency. The Bolts already signed Hayden Hurst from the Carolina Panthers. They will just need to add a proven veteran WR next.
