The Washington Commanders are recovering after a 20-16 win against the Arizona Cardinals yesterday at FedEx Field.

It's not very common for a winner to commit three turnovers, but that was the case for the Commanders. The second of those turnovers came from running back Antonio Gibson, but he was able to shake off the early fumble.

"It was one of those ones I was super low to the ground and right before I got to the ground, he got it out," Gibson said. "So I know what I need to correct, I know what happened so you know just wash it out and get to the next play.”

Gibson ran the ball three times for nine yards and grabbed one pass for 10 yards in the win. It was a fraction of work compared to Brian Robinson Jr., who ran the ball 19 times for 59 yards and caught a touchdown for seven yards from Sam Howell.

While the fumble isn't ideal, it shouldn't wipe Gibson out of the offense entirely. He is still seen as a key piece to the puzzle in Eric Bieniemy's offense.

"Hopefully, this year, it comes around to where I can showcase on multiple occasions what I can do out there," Gibson said during the offseason. "I love being out there. I have fun out there, and once I get the ball in open space, I'm really that guy."

Gibson will have an opportunity to bounce back next week when the Commanders visit the Denver Broncos. Kickoff is set for Sunday at 4:25 p.m.
