Girlfriend Camille Kostek suggests TE Rob Gronkowski will play in NFL again

Future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski announced the second retirement of his playing career back on June 21, but many assumed even then that it would be only a matter of time before he'd return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to once again play alongside "best friend" and quarterback Tom Brady.

However, Gronkowski seemed to pour cold water over the idea of another comeback when he recently said that he's "done with football" even if Brady calls and says he and the Buccaneers need help this fall.

It appears not everyone close to Gronkowski is convinced the 33-year-old has played his final snap of pro football.

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times (h/t Pro Football Talk), model Camille Kostek, Gronkowski's girlfriend, addressed the status of the four-time Super Bowl champion while speaking with reporters before a "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit fashion show this past weekend.

"I am an honest lady, and honestly, I don’t feel like this one is the forever one," Kostek said of Gronkowski's latest retirement. "So, I think maybe he’ll come back again. I feel like him and Tom are just having fun, like, 'retired, not retired, retired, not retired.'"

For what it's worth, Brady has admitted he could continue playing beyond the upcoming season despite his short-lived retirement this past winter and the fact that he already has a job as Fox Sports' lead NFL analyst waiting for him whenever he's ready to ride off into the sunset. Perhaps Brady and Gronkowski could link back up as teammates either with Tampa Bay or a different team at some point next year.
