Packers quarterback Jordan Love may get the best possible news. He could have a healthy Christian Watson and Aaron Jones by his side for the game against the Lions.
Green Bay plays host to Detroit in Thursday primetime. It’s a huge early indicator for the NFC North pecking order, especially with the Vikings starting the season at 0-3. The Packers and Lions are both 2-1.
Watson strained his hamstring before the season opener and hasn’t played in a game, as yet. He was a big presence last season, his rookie year, catching 41 passes for 611 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 appearances, 11 of them starts.
Starting running back Aaron Jones had a big season debut, rushing for 127 yards and two scores against the Bears. But he strained his hamstring on his final TD and hasn’t played the past two games. He was a game-time decision last Sunday.

The Lions are coming off a huge win over the Falcons. The game showed off their defense, which registered seven sacks. Plus, Detroit allowed Atlanta only a pair of field goals. The Falcons didn’t make it to the end zone.
Meanwhile, the Packers are coming off some heroics of their own. They trailed the Saints 17-0 in the fourth quarter. It was Love’s first regular season start at Lambeau Field. And he helped the Packers score 18 points in the final 11 minutes of the game.
