The Grizzled Young Veterans‘ post-WWE run is underway.

At DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling DPW Live 3 on October 15, DPW Tag Team Champions The WorkHorseMen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) issued an open challenge. They were answered by The Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson). Fresh off of their departure from WWE, the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions scored the win to earn a shot at the titles.

It is not known when Drake and Gibson will challenge for the DPW Tag Team Championship. They are set to compete at OTT Wrestling Ninth-Year Anniversary on October 27.

Grizzled Young Veterans Begin A New Chapter

Before they popped up at DPW, the Grizzled Young Veterans posted a video in which they officially kicked off a new chapter of their careers. Drake noted that they wouldn’t be dealing with a production crew, spooky lighting, or contact lenses.

They also announced that they were taking bookings as part of a “Global Takeover” tour.
