The Dallas Cowboys will have to face former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their division rival after he took over as head coach of the Washington Commanders but that doesn't mean Quinn is waiting to go to war with them.

After taking Joe Whitt Jr. with him to Washington, Quinn is now taking aim at the Cowboys' roster.

Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Commanders are planning to sign Cowboys defensive end Dorance Armstrong. Although teams can't execute a deal until Wednesday, it's looking like Quinn and Armstrong will reunite in 2024.

Losing Armstrong will be a significant blow to the Cowboys'  defensive depth as he's been the No. 3 guy for the team's EDGE rotation behind Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence.

The Cowboys also have Dante Fowler Jr. and Jayron Kearse hitting free agency and Quinn will likely look into adding them as well as he implements his philosophy on a new team. The Cowboys would be smart to try to retain Fowler Jr., but it's clear they're willing to risk losing him and others after not re-signing any of their 16 free agents before the legal tampering period kicked off on Monday.

The Cowboys' DE depth is not looking great with only Sam Williams having significant experience behind the starters.
