Hall of Famer Deion Sanders: Hall of Fame is becoming a 'free for all'

The 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame class was announced back in February. The inductees included offensive tackle Tony Boselli, wide receiver Cliff Branch, safety LeRoy Butler, official Art McNally, linebacker Sam Mills, defensive lineman Richard Seymour, coach Dick Vermeil and defensive lineman Bryant Young.

It's been 11 years since the outspoken, versatile defensive back Deion "Primetime" Sanders was enshrined into Canton. While this year's class featured a whopping eight names going into the Hall of Fame, Sanders was one of just four members of the class of 2011.

The eight-time Pro Bowler recently discussed his views on the current state of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

While there were eight legends voted into Canton in 2022, there were only five who made it each year from 2017 to 2021. Every other year's class since Sanders' group in 2011 has included either four or five inductees.

In addition to his eight Pro Bowl honors and six First Team All-Pro nods, Sanders won a Super Bowl with the San Francisco 49ers in 1995 and the Dallas Cowboys in 1996. The 55-year-old captured the AP Defensive Player of the Year award during the season he helped the Niners win Super Bowl XXIX against the San Diego Chargers.
