HC Todd Bowles has stern message for Buccaneers

For better or worse, the Buccaneers won't be the same team next season.

"Those who come back, we gotta create new culture, new chemistry and new camaraderie," head coach Todd Bowles said, per JoeBucsFan, a website that covers the team. "We'll have new people coming in. If you're lucky enough to come back or privileged enough to come back, be ready to work."

In wake of a disappointing regular season and blowout loss to the Cowboys on Super Wild Card Weekend, many changes are expected.

Tampa Bay's first-year head coach provided a similar message during a news conference Tuesday.

The Bucs have a long list of impending free agents, including a certain seven-time Super Bowl champion who could retire for the second time.

QB Tom Brady has yet to make a decision regarding his future, and he might not for a while. The 45-year-old said he's taking it "one day at a time."

Last year, Brady announced his initial retirement via social media 10 days after the Bucs were eliminated from the playoffs.

Despite posting an unimpressive 8-9 regular-season record, Bowles is expected to remain head coach. He'll be able to make coaching staff changes for the first time since assuming leadership, per the Tampa Bay Times.

Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich is expected to be fired, per PewterReport.com. The once-dominant Tampa Bay offense fell from averaging 29.9 points in 2021 to 18.2 in 2022. The Bucs finished last in rushing yards.
