The Houston Texans are continuing to bolster a position through free agency, and it could end up being a much deeper group than many think.

Going into free agency, it was clear the Texans needed to make their defensive backs group better than it was the year before. So far, they have done that, and the draft hasn't even happened yet. They have one of the best five cornerbacks in the league in Derek Stingley, and now some really good role players around him.

Earlier this offseason the Texans were able to pick up former first round pick Jeff Okudah to be that second cornerback they desperately need. Now, they have made another low-key signing that shows this unit can be deep.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, the Texans have signed veteran cornerback C.J. Henderson, who was formerly with the Carolina Panthers. Adding that experience to the young group the Texans currently have is a somewhat sneaky move.

In four years, Henderson has played in 49 games. In those games, Henderson has three interceptions, 16 passes deflected or defended, and two forced fumbles. He is a guy that can play his role very well in the right defensive system.

The move is a one-year deal worth $3.25 million, so it's really great value for what the Texans need and will get. Nick Caserio is doing a great job this offseason.
