How Ravens WRs can make NFL history in 2023

The Ravens haven't been rich in wide receiver talent in recent years, but that changed this offseason and Baltimore's new-look group can make history in 2023.

Per ESPN's Jamison Hensley, the Ravens can become the first team in NFL history to have five former first-round wide receivers catch a pass in a single season. The 2005 Detroit Lions are the only team to have four different first-round wide receivers do so.

"In a matter of months, the Baltimore Ravens have gone from having the NFL’s least productive group of wide receivers to a potentially historic unit," Hensley writes.

In 2022, Baltimore had just one first-round WR on its roster (Rashod Bateman) and didn't have a wide receiver eclipse 500 yards.

After putting a clear emphasis on strengthening the group this offseason, the Ravens signed three more first-rounders (Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor and Laquon Treadwell) and drafted another (Zay Flowers).

Although it's an intriguing lineup, there's a reason all three free agents were available. Beckham Jr., Agholor and Treadwell are all in the late stages of their careers and must prove they can still hang with the best.

Beckham Jr. hasn't played since tearing his ACL in Super Bowl LVI, Agholor had just 362 yards and two touchdowns in 2022 and Treadwell has yet to find his footing since entering the league in 2016.

However, if they can stay healthy and prove they still belong, Baltimore could take the league by storm in 2023.
