Hunter Henry has sights set on 'playing with a good quarterback' in 2021

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry will become a free agent for the first time in his career when the new league year begins in March.

Although he's never experienced free agency, Henry knows exactly what he's looking for in potentially signing with a new franchise, as he said Friday on SiriusXM NFL Radio:

"I want to play somewhere there's a good quarterback. That's huge for our position. It makes things a lot easier. Playing with a good quarterback always makes things better. You gotta look at both. You gotta look at some of the financial stuff, but not dive too deep into it that you go chasing it because I also want to play with a good quarterback."

In his five seasons with the Chargers, Henry has played with Philip Rivers and Justin Herbert, two solid quarterbacks. With Herbert under center, Henry had a career-high 60 catches for 613 yards and four touchdowns. He was also targeted a career-high 93 times.

The 26-year-old is not opposed to re-signing with the Chargers, saying, "I've really enjoyed my time here, so I'm not going to ever rule that out." However, it's unclear if L.A. has plans to bring him back.
