With an already 2-14 season, the Carolina Panthers suffered yet another humiliation as they failed to get themselves on the scoreboard, resulting in the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ 26-0 victory in week 17. But that wasn’t the only shocking incident from last night, as David Tepper created a whole scene when he threw drinks at visiting fans.

As the clip went viral on the internet, Panthers owner Tepper faced a lot of condemnation, considering his mismanagement of the franchise since acquiring it in 2018 from the late Jerry Richardson . Even among NFL fans, he is considered to be one of the worst owners. Interestingly, Mina Kimes seems to have proof of that.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), ESPN reporter Kimes revealed an excerpt from an interview of Tepper with the New York magazine from 2010, where the 66-year-old claimed he could do whatever he wanted with his grand wealth.

I could buy an island. I could buy a private jet—but I have NetJets. I could get myself a 22-year-old! Sometimes, if someone is an asshole, like a waiter at a restaurant, I think, 'I could just buy this place and fire that guy. The post reads

Currently, the Panthers’ position in the league is equivalent to how loved their owner is amongst the fans. A sportswriter from Yahoo Sports named Charles McDonald compared Tepper’s behavior toward the Jaguars’ fans to his resemblance to how impatient he is with the management of the franchise.

Panthers remained silent on David Tepper’s fatal behavior amid dismal season

As the clip of the incident surfaced on the internet, it caught many eyes. The U.S. portal shared that the franchise had been consulted on the whole matter; however, they have refused to make any statement on it.

We are aware and have no further comment at this time. The Athletic’s journalist Joe Person wrote

The Panthers suffered their 14th loss on Sunday against the Ravens, which is the lowest record since last season in November, when they scored the lowest of 3 points against the Ravens.

With these numbers, the first selection pick of the next NFL draft will be given to the Panthers, but it will notably pass to the Chicago Bears, who sent their first selection in the 2023 draft to the Panthers in exchange for DJ Moore, the first and second round selections of 2023, along with the first round selections of 2024 and 2025.
