DALLAS - As onlookers held their breath, former Dallas Cowboys All-Pro quarterback Tony Romo mounted an incredible final round comeback to become the 2023 Invited Celebrity Classic Golf champion.

This spring, Romo is back to defend his title against an impressive celebrity field, highlighted by former MLB All-Star pitcher Roger Clemons), former NFL All-Pro running back Reggie Bush and pro football hall of famer Tim Brown.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to defend my title in the 2024 Invited Celebrity Classic presented by Choctaw Casinos & Resorts next April,” Romo said. "The most exciting thing is the significant charitable impact in our community.”

The tournament will support two North Texas youth charities this year: Momentous Institute, and the First Tee Greater Dallas and First Tee Fort Worth. In its first two years, the tournament has generated nearly $500,000 in charitable donations and the economic impact is estimated at nearly $3 million for the greater Dallas area.

It also boasts a professional prize purse of $2.2 million, plus a $500,000 celebrity prize purse.

Romo can't wait to play in front of the "electric crowd" at Invited’s Las Colinas Country Club on April 15-21. The unique PGA TOUR Champions tournament includes a field of 78 PGA TOUR Champions players, 40 celebrities and 10 Invited Member Qualifiers.

Fans can watch Romo, who hold the Cowboys' record for all-time passing touchdowns, free of charge for all three days of competition.

Romo is an accomplished amateur golfer, adding three-time winner of the American Century Championship (2018-19, 2022) in Lake Tahoe to his resume.

Before hitting the links, the lead NFL analyst for CBS Sports, Romo will call his third Super Bowl on February 11, 2024.
