Inside divisional-round numbers: Lamar Jackson, Christian McCaffrey run wild

Using Stathead from Pro Football Reference, Yardbarker shines a spotlight on key names and numbers from Saturday's divisional-round action:

Ground controlled: The Houston Texans run game was nonexistent in their 34-10 loss at the Baltimore Ravens. As a team, Houston tallied just 38 rushing yards, the lowest such team total in a playoff game since 2020. In the divisional round that season, the Buffalo Bills only managed 32 rushing yards against...Baltimore. Unlike Houston, however, Buffalo came away with a 17-3 win.

Lamar-velous: MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson went 16-for-22 with two touchdown passes and added two rushing TDs on 100 yards in the Ravens' win. This was Jackson's third career playoff game with 100 rushing yards, breaking a tie with Colin Kaepernick for the most such playoff games by a quarterback.

Clean doesn't mean good for Pack: While the Green Bay Packers committed two turnovers and missed a late field goal in their 24-21 loss at the San Francisco 49ers, they only committed one penalty and didn't allow any sacks. The last team to lose a playoff game without allowing a sack and drawing one or fewer penalties was Indianapolis in the 2000 wild-card round, a 23-17 loss at Miami. The last NFC team to do so was Washington in the 1990 divisional round, a 28-10 defeat that also occurred in San Francisco.

McCaffrey continues Niners playoff tradition: Christian McCaffrey was the star of the 49ers' win by tallying 128 rushing yards and scoring two touchdowns, one of which gave San Francisco the lead with 1:07 left to play. Each of the last three 49ers with that many scrimmage yards and multiple touchdowns in a playoff game did so at home against the Packers: McCaffrey, Raheem Mostert (2019 NFC Championship Game, 226 yds, four TDs) and Kaepernick (2012 divisional round, 181 yds, two TDs).
