A Kansas City Chiefs insider had a curious discovery about cornerback L’Jarius Sneed after nearly a week has passed since his reported trade to the Tennessee Titans. The move appeared to clear $19.8 million in cap space for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs applied the franchise tag to Sneed early this offseason and granted him permission to seek a trade.

But was the trade finalized?

According to Pete Sweeney with Arrowhead Pride, Sneed is not on the roster of the Tennessee Titans website. He’s still officially listed on the Chiefs website as a member of the team as of Friday. Fans online were speculating Sneed might not have passed a physical to make the trade final.

There was more than just the trade report that seemed to indicate Sneed was a member of the Titans. Sneed reportedly agreed to a new contract with the Titans for $76 million over the next four seasons.

Hopefully, the Titans and Chiefs will clear this matter up soon. Sneed’s trade is one of the more significant stories of this offseason for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
