Internet reacts to Bears QB Justin Fields missing a wide open touchdown pass

We knew it was going to be a terrible game coming into it. The Chicago Bears make the Iowa Hawkeyes look competent on offense and the Washington Commanders are in the midst of a four-game losing streak. That's the turd sandwich Thursday Night Football dialed up for us tonight.

For as bad as we knew it would be, the game has delivered and more. Heading into halftime, the score was 3-0, Washington.

Bears quarterback Justin Fields also "gifted" the NFL world with perhaps one of the worst passes of all time.

Faced with the chance to put up actual points on the board via a touchdown, Fields ran a beautifully executed fake handoff and had Ryan Griffin wide open and running into the end zone on a shifty little block-and-go play in the flats.

Fields had a touchdown on his hands. It was automatic.

Except, he missed his receiver by a mile.

That, folks, is Fields, in a nutshell, this season for Chicago, and the internet — which is never defeated — reacted just how you'd expect.

Again, the internet never loses. Unlike both the Bears and Commanders, who only seem to lose.
