The Arizona Cardinals have brought on Nick Rallis to take over the defensive coordinator duties after parting ways with Vance Joseph just a couple days ago.

Nick Rallis now becomes the youngest coordinator in the NFL at only 29 years old.

Prior to taking the coaching job with the Cardinals, Rallis was the Defensive Quality Control coach for the Vikings in 2018 until 2020, and he then went on to be the Linebackers Coach for the Eagles in 2021.

Rallis was on the defensive staff with Arizona’s new head coach, Jonathan Gannon, meaning the two are already on the same page and know each other very well.

With this new spree of hirings, the Cardinals now have a first-time general manager, a first-time head coach, a first-time offensive coordinator, and a first-time defensive coordinator.

Rallis was also teammates with Cardinals’ TE Maxx Williams back in college, Williams is just one year younger than his new coach.

Arizona is the only team in the NFL to have a brand-new coaching staff, starting from the front office and going all the way down to the coordinators.

Now, the fun really begins as the Cardinals attempt to turn their franchise around with a boatload of young coaches.
