Tuesday evening, the Detroit Lions acquired defensive end/outside linebacker Bruce Irvin. 

The former Mountaineer signed with the Seattle Seahawks midseason last year where he accumulated 28 tackles, five tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks. 

Irvin was drafted 15th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2012 NFL Draft where he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career, tallying 130 tackles, including 25 tackles for a loss and 22 sacks.

He signed with the Oakland Raiders in 2016 for 2.5 seasons before his release, then was picked up by his hometown team, the Atlanta Falcons.

The Georgia native wrapped up his final four years of his NFL career returning to Seattle last year before a stint with the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears and went back to Seattle last season.

For his Career, Irvin has 343 tackles, including 69 tackles for a loss and 55.5 sacks and 16 force fumbles a pair of interceptions and two touchdowns. 

Irvin spent two years (2010-11) at West Virginia University, he racked up 22.5 sacks which ranks fifth in program history and sits third in the WVU single season record book after recording 15 sacks his senior season.
