Monday evening, the Los Angeles Chargers signed former West Virginia quarterback Will Grier off the New England Patriots' practice squad and onto the active roster. To make way for Grier, the Chargers waived Max Duggan.

With Justin Herbert out for the remainder of the season, there's a chance that Grier will see some action in the final three games. Easton Stick got the start each of the last two weeks and has done an okay job throwing for 436 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He was responsible for all three of the team's touchdowns in their 63-21 blowout loss to Las Vegas last week.

The Chargers are on the brink of being eliminated from the playoffs and if/when that takes place, they may want to take a look at Grier. I wouldn't expect him to come in right away and start over Stick, given that he just arrived and still has to learn the playbook but Week 18 could be a possibility.

Grier last started in 2019 when he was with the Carolina Panthers and hasn't seen regular season game action since. He spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and has since spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Patriots.
