The Jacksovnille Jaguars have had a busy offseason when it comes to clearing cap space.

Jacksonville released Foley Futukasi, and are adding another name to their list of released veterans.

The Jaguars are releasing safety Rayshawn Jenkins. Jenkins spent the last three years with Jacksonville after spending the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Jaguars already had a full room of safeties. Andre Cisco is holding down the free safety spot, and they drafted Antonio Johnson and Erick Hallett II in the fifth round and sixth rounds, respectively, of the 2023 NFL Draft. Plus, they have Andrew Wingard as a rotational depth piece.

With all of the recent moves, it appears the Jaguars are gearing up to place the franchise tag on Josh Allen and eventually put together a long-term deal with the star pass rusher.
