The Jacksonville Jaguars made two hires official on Thursday, adding Chad Hall as wide receivers coach and Greg Austin as an offensive quality control coach.

"I'd like to welcome both Chad Hall and Greg Austin to Jacksonville and the Jaguars organization," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said in a statement.

"Chad and Greg are both talented coaches that have consistently showcased an ability to connect with and relate to players. I am pleased by the staff's overall continuity, which is important as we continue to build toward 2023 and beyond."

Hall will replace former wide receivers coach Chris Jackson on Doug Pederson's staff. Jackson led the Jaguars' wide receivers to a productive year, with Zay Jones and Christian Kirk each having career seasons on the Jaguars' top-10 offense.

Hall attended the United States Air Force Academy and played running back for three seasons, during which he was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2007.

He went undrafted in 2008 and didn't get his first shot in the NFL until the Philadelphia Eagles signed him in 2010. The Eagles were led by Andy Reid and had Pederson on staff as an offensive assistant.

Hall spent three years with the Eagles and then followed Pederson and Reid to Kansas City in 2013. He spent a brief period with the Jaguars in 2014 before returning to the NFL in 2017 as an offensive assistant with the Buffalo Bills.

Hall was promoted to wide receivers coach in 2019 after spending two seasons as an assistant with the receivers and running Buffalo's scout team.

"Under Hall’s tutelage, WR Stefon Diggs made the Pro Bowl three times (2020-22) and earned First-Team All-Pro honors in 2020. In 2020, Diggs set franchise records and led the NFL with 127 receptions and 1,535 yards, while WR Cole Beasley garnered Second-Team All-Pro after totaling 82 receptions for a career-high 967 yards," the Jaguars said.

"In 2021, Diggs was selected to his second consecutive Pro Bowl and WR Gabriel Davis set an NFL playoff record by catching four TDs in the AFC Divisional round at Kansas City. Diggs earned Pro Bowl honors once again in 2022, while Davis totaled a career-high 48 receptions for 836 yards and seven TDs in his third season."

A former Nebraska offensive lineman, Austin spent his first few years as a coach under Chip Kelly at Oregon as a graduate assistant. He then got his first NFL job with Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles as an assistant offensive line coach under Kelly from 2013-2015.

Austin coached UCF's offensive line from 2017-2017 before coaching the same position at Nebraska from 2018-2021.

Austin played collegiately at Nebraska from 2003-06 and made 18 career starts at offensive guard. He was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection as a senior in 2006, when the Huskers played in the Big 12 Championship game and the Cotton Bowl.
