The Jacksonville Jaguars finally did something they should have done long ago. Obviously, now is the perfect time, but I think we can all agree that if they were able, the Jaguars should have done it right away.
Some of you may still be lost, so let me explain.
On Thursday, the Jaguars announced that they would be inducting former head coach Tom Coughlin into their ring of honor, known as the 'Pride of the Jaguars.'
This should have been done as soon as he retired, but in all reality, this is perfect. Coughlin is the Jaguars' winningest head coach, with a record of 68-60, and the franchise's first head coach. Coughlin had four playoff appearances in eight years with the Jaguars and even coached the Jaguars to their best season ever. In 1999, they won 14 games and lost to the Titans in the conference championship game.
Coughlin also still resides in Florida. It's been a long time coming, but I'm glad it's finally happening.
