Jalen Ramsey recently opened up about his infamous brawl with Golden Tate.

Ramsey and Tate got into a fight on the field after a Rams-Giants game in Oct. 2020. Ramsey was said to have thrown the first punch in the fight. The Rams cornerback also was said to have waited for Tate outside the locker room after the game.

Tate had hard feelings towards Ramsey over personal matters. Tate’s sister Breanna was dating Ramsey and pregnant with the couple’s second child. But Ramsey split with her and began dating a dancer.

Ramsey joined “The Pivot Podcast” and addressed the situation.

Ramsey said in the episode that both he and Tate knew they would end up fighting. He also said that the perception of him ditching Breanna while she was pregnant is wrong. He said they agreed they were better off as friends and broke up on amicable terms.

“We ain’t feel like we needed to announce it to any and everybody,” Ramsey said.

Ramsey also was upset that Tate went public about the matter.

“Golden had tweeted something about it and that’s when it got super public. I ain’t like that. I was hot about that,” Ramsey said.

That could explain why he ended up confronting Tate.

Tate had 35 catches for 388 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2020. He was on Tennessee’s practice squad last season but did not see game action. Ramsey has toned down some of his trash talk in recent years, but he’s still getting into fights.
