Jalen Ramsey fined $15,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct

Jalen Ramsey's pockets are a little lighter this week as he preps for the Super Bowl.

The NFL fined Ramsey $15,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct after a dust-up during the NFC Championship Game, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Rams beat the 49ers 20-17 in the game to advance to Super Bowl LVI.

The moment in question occurred right before halftime. After San Francisco kicker Robbie Gould booted home a field goal to put the 49ers up 10-7 going into the break, he and Ramsey got in each other's faces and exchanged some words. They had to be separated by referees and teammates.

After the interaction, Ramsey voiced his frustrations to the refs as he left the field. He was not flagged on the play, though.

Ramsey ultimately got the last laugh as Los Angeles came back to win and advance to its second Super Bowl in four years. He was not part of the team that lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl LIII, though, as the Rams traded for him during the following season.

Over three years with Los Angeles, Ramsey has racked up 154 combined tackles and intercepted six passes, including four in 2021. He's been named to five Pro Bowls over his six-year career and is a three-time First-Team All-Pro, including twice with the Rams (2020, 2021).
